About…

Hi!   Thanks for coming by!

My name is Doug.  I’m a musician (self-taught guitar player), composer, arranger, collaborator, recording / sound engineer, electronics guru, and software developer.

My day gig is designing / building test fixtures and writing test software for repairing components on broken radar systems.

When I’m at home, my passions are music, programming, boating, beach-walking, and pondering the meaning of life.

Musically, I love these players / singers:

Chick Corea, Pat Martino, Gary Burton, Bela Fleck, Howard Levy, Andy McKee, Andrew York, Diana Krall, K.D. Lang, Adele, Pat Metheny, Tommy Emmanuel, Sylvain Luc, Victor Wooten, John Pattituci, Stanley Clarke, Al Dimeola, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Dan Fogelberg, James Taylor, Jim Croce, Joni Mitchell, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder; and too many others to mention!

And I owe a huge debt to a wonderful group of musicians I’ve had the honor of working with over the years … most that you’ve never heard of … but who are the highest quality of people and players in the world.

Here’s some original music I’ve recorded in my home studio over the years.

I performed live for many years with small bands and duos.  This led to the development of UTT Pro, a music / lyrics librarian and stage lighting / MIDI effects controller, all rolled into one.  Makes it easy for small acts to put on a big show.
